Our dog Duke would sometimes have accidents in the house, even though he was completely housetrained. He would also sometimes nip at our neighbors and visitors when he became excited. With Christine’s help, we realized he wasn't doing those things because he was spiteful, jealous or angry, but because he was feeling very insecure. It was hard to believe how our dog's insecurity, or 'low doggie self-esteem' could be at the root of his behavior problems... We learned great ways to help build his self-esteem and make him feel more confident. Soon we saw a big difference with our beloved boy. The accidents became less frequent and eventually stopped altogether. There are still times when he gets nervous, but now we know what (and what not) to do. It's so great to have friends over and not have to worry about what he will do. It’s a wonderful thing to see him running around the yard, playing with the kids, with his tail wagging and not have to worry about him nipping at their heels (or worse). Thank you to Christine and Puppy Love for helping me guide my Dukie to being a well behaved family dog.

The approach you take to training and understanding dogs is so much more enlightened than the dominance model of training. I have learned how to train Lily in an easy-going and fun way, without feeling like I need to control her every move. She knows commands and good manners, but I can still allow her to enjoy being a dog.
Thank you from Joanne and Lily!

The feeling of support I get is as valuable as all the lessons. And Puppy Love is the only training organization I know of that regularly donates part of their profits to animal rescue.
